Event Coverage: 2013 Marysville AutoFest Part 1

AutoFest!

Although I've been to the AutoFest twice before (2011 and 2012) this was the first time I'd taken my car. Some of my friends were competing in the BBQ contest so we all rolled into town on Friday. I did not take part in the poker run but I saw quite a few cars that did. All of the photos are in the gallery here if you want to see them all.

The cars started showing up early! This was about 7am.

Event Coverage: 2013 MotorMania

For the 2nd time I made the long drive (okay it was only 30 miles) over to Abilene, KS for their MotorMania show. Most of the cars had their hoods and a few trunks open, which means I don't really want to shoot photos of them. Here are a few shots of what I saw.

2013...So Far.

Click on any of the slideshows to go to the full gallery.

2013 started like they all do here, with the Starbird-Devlin show in Wichita.

Then a trip to shoot a feature which allowed me to hit 2 shops while I was out.  I stopped by Ryno Built and Fast A.L.'s Upholstery.

Then it was of to Kansas City for the World of Wheels.

After that was a trip to Tulsa for the Starbird Rod & Custom show.

Then it was back to the Wichita area (Park City) for The Chill

Then it was off to the Texas Thaw in Denton TX which allowed me to stop at 3 of my friends shops along the way, Chaotic Customs, Premier Body & Paint and Atlas Speed & Custom.

Then it was back to Texas for the Goodguys Spring Lone Star Nationals at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, TX.

So as far as I can recollect, that is what I've been up to in the last 3 months.

See you at a show,

Travis

Royboy Friends: RJay's Speed Shop

If you're building a hot rod or street rod you need parts. You can go to the junk yard or swap meet, get dirty, maybe find something maybe not, maybe have to fix it if you do find it, or you can order new stuff.  If you are in a time crunch ordering parts can be a life saver. Have a look at my friends over at RJay's Speed Shop.
