Feature Car: 1951 Cadillac Series 62
This barn found 51 Caddy belongs to a friend of mine and he wants to sell it. I thought it's a great example of a nearly perfectly stock car that I don't get to see very often so I met up with him last week to shoot some pics of it.
It has new wide white tires, has been gone through mechanically and is ready for the road. Almost all of the extensive chrome is brilliant and in good condition. The only flaw I found in the car is 1 interior panel did not get recovered to match the interior, but that's not a huge detractor as its only the cover that goes around the drivers side of the front seat.
More info on the Series 62, I don't remember seeing many hard tops before. And another page of info on them.
My research shows that a solid Condition 1 of this car would put it north of $40k, this car in my opinion is an easy high Condition 2, maybe low 1 if that 1 panel were re-upholstered. If I were to buy it, I'd have Calvin upgrade it to a 12v car and then drive the hell out of it.
Asking price is $37,500.00 which is right in line with a1951 Series 62in Condition 2. If you're interested in this ride get ahold of Calvin Calp of Calvin's Custom in Salina, KS ph.785-493-2214 and tell him that Royboy sent ya.
See you at a show,
Royboy
